This is a true challenge to your self-control. You will jump with a special training "wing-type" parachute. Such parachutes are used worldwide for beginner parachutist training and are very safe. Unlike a round parachute, a "wing-type" parachute not only descends but also glides forward, allowing you to land in a desired spot.
You will need to attend a several-hour briefing during which the instructor will show and explain the theory of jumping: possible emergency situations and how to act in them, how to jump correctly from the plane, how to control the parachute, and most importantly, how to land properly. You will practice wearing a parachute and simulating parachute handling.
After theoretical and practical preparation, the "ground" instructors will help you put on the parachute, a radio earphone, and an altimeter, then "hand you over" to the "dispatching" instructor who will be with you in the airplane until the jump. After a 10-15 minute flight on the AN-2 airplane, you will jump from an altitude of 1000 meters. Upon exiting the airplane, the parachute deploys automatically, so you won’t need to pull the parachute deployment ring. For a few seconds, until the "landing" instructor takes over, you will be alone in the air with your parachute. A great partnership!
Once the parachute deploys, you can freely glide to the planned landing area. During the glide, the "landing" instructor will guide you via radio communication, telling you what to do and where to glide. After the jump, we will present you with a certificate of your first parachute jump.
